Hi Adminless,

is it possible to figure out which PK3 files cause the warning message in the beginning? I would like to get rid of it but I have so many custom maps that I do not want to throw them out and then add them again one by one.

sure "fs_referencedlist" should help you on that, the thing is that I look at the list you had posted and I really didn't find the problem thought is obvious that I did no try every single pk3 you had installed so I guess it would be some texture/shader replacement in some map or something like that, anyways post it here since I would also like to know in case is wide spread and can be added to the list.

yeah I know I believe that the best thing you can do is just create a new folder with a new clean installation to play here, you aren't going to need anything more here and simply leave that as is.

i have installed q3 from original cd added point release 1.32c and then replaced the exe (ioquake 1.33)

are all the mentioned paks wrong somehow? i have your def client of unfreeze which im using right now

mmmmm the collision there seems to be the ra3maps, I didn't know that they conflicted (guess I didn't try them all), those maps are rocket arena maps they shouldn't even be there (they should go in its mod folder, arena, since they should lack any purpose outside of that mod) but anyways I'm well aware that most people just ignore these kind of things and simply put everything in baseq3 (no wonder later things break) so I'll add them to the database then in next days by now you could try temporally moving the ra3maps outside of your baseq3 folder (re-add later if your want in a couple of days) and let's see if that fixes it for you.

i guess back in the days there was old rocketarena3 and then ppl switched between osp and cpma rocket arena gametypes so i guess it made sense at one point to have them in baseq3 since all mods can use them and u save space on ur hdd - nowadays not really an issue anymore so ill give it a try

I know I know but the thing with the ra3 maps is that they are in fact a set of four arenas that afaik they only work (fully) in Rocket Arena 3 (on other mods/vq3 don't even work at all or do it only limitedly, i.e. you can't switch arena, glitches etc etc) furthermore as far as I remember I've never even seen them loaded at any server that wasn't in fact, a Rocket Arena 3 server (i.e. arena folder) but anyways like I said I'm just saying that's not the point of the topic and is also quite obvious that people simply already made his own mind all these decades and thus saying all this at this time is plain no sense, like I said, I'll add them to database anyways in "short" and let's see if that gets it going, we'll see, thanks for report.

yesterday I had a weird experience.

i connected and i did not get any message of unclean pk3 files. then after the map change i got the regular message. that is really weird because i cannot change my pk3 during map change (i did not disconnect or anything).

can you check if you can see it in your data?

probably that's because each asset has its own requirements (ex. glitched dm7, dm6 mirrors etc) so yeah it can vary from game to game and if you have so many pk3s is very likely that it breaks at some point. as always fs_referencedlist should give you insight on what's breaking and if you find something remarkable (i.e. "popular") let me know. the arena maps (latest version 1.80 final which btw it will break with the all so known 1.76 version that I bet 99% sure most of the people have anyways) I hope I can add them in a update tomorrow, last days as we all know there was some major events here that required me handling them first hand so i couldn't add them yet.

hi

if i play i actually play on your server only so i think about throwing all maps out to get rid of it. if i start playing custom maps i will look more closely into it.
