@oKo*CTHULHU, @adminless
DM9 - I like this map, but only for fun. Not the most, but I like it. I used to play freezetag turrets on this map in the old days. But also instagib freeze.
In my opinion, this map is "for everything and for nothing." 1v1 was very strange to play. I stood on red armor and spam in a corner. If I died, the enemy did the same. It was impossible to enter the red armor room in turrets mode Unless it was in the freezetag mode with a hook. Then I could hooked myself against the wall.
I can't wait too to play on these maps too. It was the same with DM12

Re: Enriching the map pool

Re: Enriching the map pool
I started playing a few months after the whole situation with q3dm12, I know that this map is one big labyrinth even for experienced people and it is unplayable if no one runs to the center of the map in the vicinity of mega-health

Re: Enriching the map pool
in the months that run the average game time was like 45 mins. a total nightmare, I remember instances of one plus hour games, endless plus ten minute rounds and scores of like 1-1 or 2-2 after half a hour were frequent. bottom line the map work good on the ffa server but it just don't suit this gametype. we'll see about dm15, I think I loaded like three or four times here and didn't really work out either (emptied the rooms).

Re: Enriching the map pool
personally, I don't know what the revival on q3dm15 looks like, I haven't had a chance to play this map. i think it's best that nobody respawn at the very bottom of the map, in quad room

Re: Enriching the map pool
I ilke the idea to do this! Adding 1 or 2 maps is sufficient.
Before we go into details which map it should be, we should make the decision if we can/ willing to add further maps.
After that we can start a voting in the community which maps we want to add. Does this make sense for all?

Re: Enriching the map pool
Is there any chance to vote for maps instead of cycling all existing maps? For example that the main maps stay as it is today and if the community wants to play another map from the extended pool then we have to vote for it.

Re: Enriching the map pool
@maka no, as usual, the voting will be here. in-game voting doesn't work on top public servers like these ones for obvious reasons, matter of facts, it actually ruins them. callvote is fine for the private/masters server where everybody is on the same page, on a public it just becomes yet another meaningless issue/war. as usual I'll probably write some other new extended rotation this night or tomorrow and then if people is unhappy with it/doesn't work or whatever depending on the input I'll change it back.

Re: Enriching the map pool
Hey, i globally approve the idea of extending the map pool!
Although this is quite harsh to use only regular/standard Q3A maps I'm pretty sure we can have a try on dm12.
Also dm9 (yeah, i know, i know... ^^) or dm10 or dm15 may be tried...

Re: Enriching the map pool
This thread is hot. Get ready for the "dark void" on the map dm16 I'm rubbing my hands
@uZu - I think dm16 and dm15 are enough for now as these big maps.
dm10 and T5 as smaller.
We will see which of them turn out to be the best.
