LG beam bug

Hi everybody!
I'm having a bug since I installed the client update, but it's not a big deal. I set exec hardcore and then type manually commands until I have the style I prefer, like picmip 1. But when I play my first match I have the lg beam as the default. After that, beam changes and it is a pure white picmip version. I gave it a try cause I have this bug since I installed the package, but now I'm tired, I find it very distracting and I want to have the default beam in all my matches.
So is there any command to get it?

yes, \cg_lgrcore 0 makes the lg as the default one in q3 but note that changes require some sort of "restart" (game/map/vid etc, ex. \vid_restart) to take effect.
