Hi I want to record and export quake 3 demos but I have no way of doing that atm, even with r_ignorehwgamma command my footage comes out looking dark, how does adminless record his videos and how do.you guys do it?

I actually use the servers and a custom install (well two actually, one for the site and other specific for YouTube) to produce the videos so it's not so easy to reproduce. that being said if I don't recall wrong with the provided packages you can simply do \demo 100plus_score ; \video 100plus_score for example and that should produce a decent quality video inside your installation. anyway, if you just want some exciting match or cut to be posted I can probably render that for you and post it like the rest of the videos here.

I have heared from others that they record their demo's in game with OBS, I also do that but I don't edit stuff and just put it on my YT channel and otherwise I ask admin to render it for me. Maybe you can also ask cth or Generail, they seem to have knowledge about that! Cth is busy with fragmovies as you saw probably, so I would definitely ask him

Update: I tried recording with OBS and the r_ignorehwgamma 1 command again and it actually worked this time, weird. Still I may ask cthulhu how he record his fragmovies because the vanilla q3 hud is kinda ugly
