@adminless, bro that is very strict action, as I have said earlier along with PACMAN, a ban should be imposed on proven cheater and/or racial things or so. if a players starts jumping in a game for a while, is that justifies a ban? and what is the duration of this demo? a few seconds? things seems to me there might be some harsh stuff going on between ph4tlurks and that guy, as ph4tlurks words are showing.
I wasn't there to see, but this isn't enough.
Many servers have been ruined by such strict actions, sadly, it is the q3 history.

But these dudes are here discussing no one was there except the accuser, so pacman and noluck aka noobluck have their own opinions, what i was trying to say , was this, that i tried to post here but was unsuccessful.

Hi admin and all others,
yesterday a player named ph4tlurks threatened me while we were on a space map, that about 2 min of game display of which he has posted a demo about my "behavior", ask him what happened in next 2 games? we beat him with me equal and greater score of him.
Actually that was his behavior that prompted my to make some dumb and i was bored of him, he behaved as he was the man and all others must obey his rules, what a crazy man?
and admin don't judge by listening one side only, ask other players there. ask WTF's 2 players, my score was even higher than him.

And ban for this? every person now and then do some shitty things, ask him why sometimes the senior players talk while in spec and disturbs others and no one complains.
I only ask:
did i cheat?
did i use bad words against other players?
did I shoot teammates?
and so on.
The dude reminds me that there is another rule for banning, that is, If during a game you test your maximum height the rocket jumping can achieve on a jumppad, that goes to straight ban.
These are not matches, we play for fun.
You have to set a rule that any complaint that has personal envy in it must be rejected and the complainer must be warned.

First of all, this is not about "fun vs seriousness". Unfreeze is a team-based mode. If the logic is that anything is acceptable as long as someone personally has fun, then by that logic the server can indeed turn into a complete zoo - people jumping around, doing nothing, not attacking, not unfreezing - and all of that would be "fine". That is obviously not how team modes work.

There is a competitive component even on public servers. Participation is the minimum requirement. If someone wants to test jumppads, roam with pummel, or just mess around without contributing, there are other places for that (singleplayer or just FFA-mode). On a team server that kind of behavior directly affects other players.

About the "threatening to ban" claim: this is simply not true. I said "already reported, apologize." The phrasing omits "I" because of informal, conversational style, but it was just a statement of fact, not a threat or an attempt to pressure anyone. Presenting it as blackmail or intimidation is misleading.

You also said "I agree that ruining a game altogether is a bad thing". If we agree on that, then the question answers itself. Repeated intentional non-participation is ruining the game even without cheating or verbal abuse.

The comparison with people talking in spectator is irrelevant. No one is discussing chat behavior here. This report was about in-game actions, not words.

Finally, the claim that my behavior somehow "prompted" you to act this way makes no sense. I did not give orders, I did not spam chat and I did not interact with you at all until after the behavior was already happening. Saying "he acted like the man and others must obey" is not an argument - it is just an emotional interpretation without facts.

The head admin reviewed it and made a decision. That's it.

But I've also seen that you know how to play and that you're capable. Besides that, you also delight the chat with wonderful "shit" comments very often, and yet the spectators' talking distracts you? I don't know, I could understand it if you were 15, but at your age? I'm 57, and sometimes I can't help saying something to someone, and a lot of people here irritate me, but I don't ruin the game for anyone because of it.
