UnFreeZe Tournament Spring 2025

Post by adminless »

ok, today I just finished properly installing this (natively) on my spare emergency on-the-go Chromebook with lte connection to be safe in case something breaks (even the power) so I hope that means then I'm finally done with all the local updates I had planned for the Winter. by now I would have liked to have put together another client update along with finishing for good with was was pending from the Christmas servers migration (still on going) but unfortunately sort out all the local stuff ended up taking a lot more time than planned. anyway I guess all that will just hopefully come along the way, no big deal, from what I see and I have been monitoring these months everything seems to be working just fine so I guess that then it's probably about time to get started with another UnFreeZe tournament and see how it plays out this time. since finally there was no events this winter I believe that this time we can probably make it a bit longer than usual for the "follow up" tournament considering there's interest on that obviously. I mean, obviously not again as long as in the Fall/Christmas but probably something more than just a straight up elimination. as usual, I guess that I'll just concrete the details and write the whole thing once the turn out is known (as it can't be otherwise) but the idea/target I think that it's probably to have about 6-8 teams split in two groups and then finals (i.e. semis and final) all legged to be played along April and May of 2025 (approx). after that of course we can as well have some spare community/team UnFreeZe and similar events or anything else that just comes along. well and I think that's all by now to get started so who is interested? finally remember that to sign up for this you need clearly communicate a team consisting of between 6-8 players (min and max, recommended at least 7 though) before the start of the tournament (i.e. in about two weeks, approx). you can not participate individually on this although if you're interested you can sign up here individually anyway (or reach me about it) if you want in case some spare mix-up team happens to build. for the rest expect all the usual stuff, I do not think I'll make any changes from the last Christmas setup, I think that was about as it good as it gets.

just added a tournament draft now with up to eight teams as usual to get started so check it out and let me know how you see that. as usual initially I just wrote the full eight teams to be safe, the final outlook will obviously depend in who of those (or any others for that matter) will show up that will obviously can dramatically change the outlook but pretty much, if anything goes more or less according to plan it should look something like that. the initial match-ups and dates I will just add tomorrow but I guess that should be at least understood by now as that just a matter of doing combinations from that.

I just updated the yesterday tournament draft into a now actual sample with current dates to get a idea of how it would actually play out so check that out. as said, that would be the maximum format considering eight teams participate (never happened though but to be safe), obviously just with six (or even less) it would get significantly reduced from that. so far I just noted there all the last edition participants plus legends Теам Москва and a potential community "redeem" team packed with all the top legends from previous editions looking forward redeem themselves in the competition to complete the tier. obviously so far nobody have confirmed yet so that's merely a sample by now nothing else and we'll see how it finally turns out once the teams actually sign up or not. ok, I guess that now in the afternoon or so I'll send a bunch of invitations to all the relevant parties and that should be all from by now. as said, I believe the sign up deadline should be basically this March to then get start sooner or before in April until end. considering this time there's no Christmas afterwards there's probably some margin for date adjustment from that, that said, as usual, it just can not be dragged/delayed "at random" if within a couple of weeks or so (approx) it just doesn't get going it simply won't until another occasion (i.e. probably next Fall/Winter).

all done now, just sent PM invitations to every major known active team leader along with a handful of individual invitations to a handful of notorious legendary players looking forward redeem themselves in a eventual team so now just waiting answer/s (if any) from that to determine what can be played this spring (once again if anything). have fun and as usual, for anything just drop it here.

np, but hey, don't mean to be rude or anything, are you actually signing up then? just asking to be clear and avoid misunderstandings. in case of joining do not forget to report your players list for your team for this edition before the start of the tournament in two weeks (approx if everything goes according to plan). just saying in case you hopefully wants to rebuild your clan from the previous edition.

btw just as a reminder here we're at Saturday already and so far for other than the legendary 2023 champs and last tournament medal of honor holders Immortal Clan, and even though only in part, nobody have signed up yet. as said, although this calendar probably allows for some delays/weeks or margin it would be nevertheless good at least to start planning the actual format more precisely by the next week to then start with the games soon which obviously it will ultimately depend on the participants then please do not leave everything for the last minute or the minute after.

sounds good, np. I heard basically the same thing from virtually everyone so far (immortal, community, ilm, ass even Москва reported that they were looking building a team, lihensor, ami etc etc) except for oKo it seems. ok, as said we'll see next week then, I guess there's still some room for adjustment specially considering the eight teams max sample is gonna be unlikely to hit. thanks for the input.

ok, at last finally we have the first participant team, ILM with usual blaze, fusion, xpow, audaz, orgi, mike, monkey, vrtx line up (vrtx won't be available though but I'll just note it anyway to be safe all the same as rotten in the previous tournament for example since they would have a free spot instead) so looking forward to hear about the rest to concrete the actual calendar/format to be played. since the sign up has been slow so far I assume that then until next week I won't announce the first round matches then please those around interested do not forget to sign up during this week as there will be no further waiting.
