ok, the game has concluded with a overpowering ass win that this time stopped olc and their mates from materialising another upset as three years ago. very solid ass game that was just better and gave little to no chances looking set for some really hot finals and the final dispute for the first place of the regular phase. in the other hand, again, big shoutout to immortal that despite the circumstances being very different from last year gave their best and showed a great sportsmanship. ok, I'll update everything now as usual but just in short, as said, this result now rule out for a fact a bizarre possible quintuple tie at three wins so now it mathematically makes ilm and ass the first two finalist of the tournament, congrats.

everything updated and reviewed now with this night games. videos being produced to be posted tomorrow as usual so stay tuned. for the rest as bonus since the game was a large mismatch I took a look to see if some of the historic records that I'll update all at once after the regular phase ends had been broken and much to my surprise none did that hasn't been broken already. that said the search returned one that I had overlooked, it turned out that in the last decisive game of the last DT/oKo match this Thursday cTh pulled off the best historic performance so far (i.e. score per minute) arguably in one of the defining moments of the season, congrats. it turned out that was something more than just a fragfest after all.

videos for yesterday games up already since this morning so that should conclude now the fourth week of the tournament, great games so far. for the rest just as a reminder for oKo here do not forget that I need your picks (maps and server) for your Thursday game against community pretty much today so please do not forget about that. also by now I think it would be good to hear DT picks (maps and server) for their Sunday game against ASS as well, as usual, although there's still some time for that do not leave it for the very last minute. additionally in the immortal/ilm situation waiting to hear a agreement/solution for a date to play that, it appears that probably the only viable date for that this week is the Friday so looking forward to hear if ILM can show up by then as I think that's probably the best option/solution.

as usual with the Monday nights here are now the last and final matches scheduled to be played the next week to end with the regular phase that will decide the match ups that will be played at the upcoming semi finals so stay tuned:
  • Week 7
    • Immortal Clan VS Team Community (Tuesday 12 of November of 2024 21:00 CET [UTC+01])
    • oKo Clan VS ILM Clan (Thursday 14 of November of 2024 21:15 CET [UTC+01])
as commented previously due the Ozaru unceremonious withdrawal in the last week there will be just two games at play which means that in this case DT and ASS will both rest. in light of that if someone around, either team or individual (not already participating in the tournament), is interest in participate just in a undercard/guest game against one of them next week just let me know to try to setup that. since the week after finals won't probably be known after these games end it would be good to not leave them for the weekend and then complete them within weekdays, if possible of course (if not it shouldn't be a problem either as there's still some margin now). also in case the Immortal/TC game finally ends up really becoming a dispute for the fifth place in the regular phase (to be seen as although marginal both still remain with chances to advance) I believe that then it can be taken as the first leg of the potential fifth place undercard final in case it happens in order to avoid further unnecessary match ups and then simply dispute that at two legged best of fives the week after.

and I think that's it by now. for the rest I just received today oKo picks so now waiting for the community side of the card and as good news, ILM confirmed for the Friday against immortal and now then just waiting for the ILM side of the card as well. other than that, still waiting for DT picks (maps and server) for their Sunday game against ASS to proceed with the rest of the choices in the next coming days as usual then please do not forget about that.

  • rules: competitive UnFreeZe 5vs5 rulesets, no mid-game spectators/changes allowed
  • date: Thursday 7 of November of 2024 21:00 CET (UTC+01)
as usual review that and unless I made some mistake or something then I think that we're good to go so have fun and good luck. for the rest, don't forget that I'm still waiting to hear ILM block from Immortal picks (pro-q3dm6, overkill, bal3dm3) and choices for the Friday and basically everything about the Sunday DT/ASS game starting with DT choices (maps and server) therefore I believe that by now in case I don't hear from any of those within the next 24 hours (approx) by tomorrow night I'll just pick that as I see fit in order to be able to continue with the rest of the proceedings in time.

btw just as reminder remember that this night the UnFreeZe Tournament Fall 24 fifth games start with the more than exciting oKo/TC encounter that will mark the first final potential of the season so make sure to not miss that out. for tomorrow (Immortal/ILM) hopefully the card has just been completed with last immortal blocks this afternoon as follows for public revision/reference as usual:
  • stage: UnFreeZe Tournament Fall 24, Regular Phase - Week 5
  • match-up: Immortal Clan VS ILM Clan
    • Immortal Clan: olc, crm, zord, viper, xo, dentist, srl, masin
    • ILM Clan: blaze, fusion, xpow, iron, orgi, vortex, mike, maka
  • server: fpsclasico.eu:27968 or fpsclasico.de:27968
  • gtv: fpsclasico.eu:27969
  • picks:
    1. Immortal Clan: pro-q3dm6, overkill (-), bal3dm3
    2. ILM Clan: q3dm8, charon3dm9 (-), q3dm14
    3. tie-breakers: hub3tourney1, q3dm7 (b-), pro-q3dm13 (a-)
  • maps: pro-q3dm6 , q3dm8 , bal3dm3 , q3dm14 , hub3tourney1
  • rules: competitive UnFreeZe 5vs5 rulesets, no mid-game spectators/changes allowed
  • date: Friday 8 of November of 2024 21:15 CET (UTC+01)
so that means that unless there's a mistake there or something we're finally all done to play tomorrow as well, have fun and good luck. finally do not forget that I'm still waiting from basically the entire side of the card from ASS for their Sunday game against DT even by now. as said, in case that doesn't complete, tie-breaker block included, by tomorrow afternoon I'll just pick that myself as I see fit keep that in mind.

breaking the finalist (although not the order) has been decided!! the first final of the competition has ended with a clear win for oKo that prevailed 3:0 this night against team community. a match up between two teams with very different trajectories in this tournament, while oKo has been on the raise since this started and with this result they might even go as far as having a potential shot at the first place of the regular phase next week, in the other hand team community has been in a declining momentum. I have the feeling community best moment of the tournament has been their legendary opening game against double trouble that went all the way. I don't know if that defeat had really a impact in the team or whatever but the fact is that unfortunately they have seemed unable to react and recover from that culminating with this night result that finally sees them as the second eliminated team after Ozaru that will miss the finals. quite frankly, a significant surprise with a overall feeling of deja-vu with team over two years ago, a very solid team, almost a favorite, stacked with about one of the best individual line-ups of the competition that for whatever the reason is just couldn't get it done. the result additionally means that now immortal is as well mathematically eliminated as even if they were to now pull a comeback and strike two back to back 3:0 wins they wouldn't be able to catch up in a potential tie at two wins therefor the result now makes ass, ilm, oko and dt as the finalist still at the wait to decide the order (and consequently the match ups in the finals) in the upcoming deciding fights of the regular phase. in the other hand tc and immortal now will battle next week directly for the fifth place. as said since it catches up the last match of the regular phase, which I remind is mandatory, that will account as well for the first leg of the upcoming, now not mandatory but strongly encouraged, undercard fifth place final in the upcoming weeks so then it will simply be played as two best of fives instead of the regular double fourth rounders as to not have unnecessary matches just like that (i.e. there's not point in fighting three times in a row for a fifth place). as usual I'll just go breaking down everything properly as it goes so stay tuned, ggs.

scoreboard for the regular phase updated and reviewed now, as said, I believe the balance and the excitement is almost maximum so I believe that it's probably a good moment to make a brief analysis of them to clear up how things stand as of now and what's still at play. first of all, I think the regular phase served is intended purpose almost perfectly and the cut this time is quite clear, so once again congrats to the already finalist to make it into the next and decisive phase. in that regard I believe the format for this edition is probably more interesting that the legged league as with this stark different between the positions with all due respect for everyone involved I assume that having to go now a second leg of the same league would probably be too much punishment for the lower positions so I think it has been a better idea just to move on instead into a final phase and leave those position for direct, again not mandatory but strongly encouraged, undercard match up. the results are clear with independence of the tomorrow game, that is nevertheless determinant for the first place, community/immortal will now finish fifth or sixth depending on their encounter next week. in the other hand the first place of the regular phase will be finally disputed among three teams, ass, ilm and oko. the best positioned there so far is probably ilm as the only team that remains undefeated so far in the tournament that being said given the circumstance it might not even be enough to secure the first place tomorrow and depending on the other upcoming results they might need to go as far as to take them all to top the regular phase which speak volumes of the competitiveness of this edition. oko chances for the first place in the other hand are slim (though not yet zero) as they not only depend on ilm outcome but as well of ass that being said a race isn't over until it's over so if they can pull off another strong win against ilm next week that could even see them as the top team in the regular phase. meanwhile, dt already classified for the final is mathematically out of the dispute for the first place that said, the question still remains if they will advance as the fourth place, and therefore they will have to go against the team that has earned in the game the best position so far, or if instead they will avoid it. initially it might seem like a irrelevance but let me tell you that the history of sports is full of events where people made such (mis)calculations and that ended up being the difference between making into the grand final and even wining the tournament or just stopping sort off so make sure to not miss a thing of what's to follow.

ok this morning I just uploaded and posted yesterday games then I think that should be all with that, ggs. for the rest, finally I just received earlier ass blocks q3dm8 and overkill along with picks pro-q3dm6, bal3dm3, charon3dm9 for their Sunday game against dt that can now pretty much decide the fourth place of the regular phase therefore now just waiting for last blocks from that (pro-q3dm6, bal3dm3, charon3dm9) along with the tie-breaker choice between hub3tourney1 and pro-q3dm13 from dt no longer than tomorrow night to then hopefully after almost two weeks leave everything set about that.

since this night will be played the very exciting encounter between immortal and ilm I think that it's probably as well a good moment to post the usual situation summary I have currently noted for the next week (all mandatory) games:
  • Immortal Clan VS Team Community: with both already eliminated from the finals this mandatory last regular phase game will serve as well as the first leg of a potential follow-up fifth place undercard final between them, if it happens. the format for such potential encounter will be just of two regular best of five games and all the picks will carry on between them. the map pool will be the full complete map pool that was used during the whole regular phase (as up to 18 maps will be picked in total) and the tie-breaker list for the second leg will be pro-q3tourney2, q3dm14, charon3dm9, phantq3dm1_rev, pro-q3tourney7, teddm1, pro-dcmap7, goldleaf, focal_p132. the current noted date for the mandatory first leg so far is the Tuesday 12 of November of 2024 21:00 CET (UTC+01) therefore now just waiting for input from both as to leave that scheduled within this weekend as usual to then proceed with the rest of the choices. keep in mind that for example to play the Tuesday immortal picks (maps and server) should be made no later than tomorrow for example.
  • oKo Clan VS ILM Clan: currently noted for the Thursday 14 of November of 2024 21:15 CET (UTC+01) still at the wait of any input about that from any of them to then proceed with the rest of the picks for that in time. as usual do not leave everything for the very last minute as it might be too late. additionally remember that whenever possible is asked that this match gets played before the weekend to have enough time to properly schedule the match ups that will initially depend on its outcome.
and I think that's all by now unless I missed something so review that and if anything just let me know.

At the moment, it seems like our availability vs Immortal is only for Sunday 17th 👀
