btw just as a reminder in just about a hour now is the highly anticipated encounter between the last tournament first place, ofp, and runner-up, dt, in what will probably be more like than not their final match-up of the tournament until a new edition so make sure to not miss out. following that as usual with every Monday for the duration of the tournament here are the upcoming fights to leave scheduled along the week for the next one: as said along with this week these are probably gonna be decisive so I hope that now people all of the sudden don't go on vacation, sprained their wrist at the servers or any other stuff and they get scheduled in time as it has been the case lately so please check those out and get back for that along the week.

breaking finally the highly anticipated fight between ofp and dt has concluded with a solid 3:1 win in favor of dt that doesn't lose pace and remains just two points behind the lead, enough distance to depend on themselves so far to get to a potential super final. as usual ofp opened with their flagship map, teddm1, and as expected they did not fail to deliver and took it promptly. however what followed was a very different story, both goldleaf and 6++ were a total toss up 10:9 that could have gone either way with back and forth fighting. at times one looked better than the other just for the other to equalize later on and so on. finally be it for some reasons or another dt managed to edge both maps and that's what granted the advantage on their second home and last map of the night. bal3dm3 similarly to teddm1 for ofp played as favorable to dt and this time here they had no major problems to took it either and with it a very important victory towards the final result and the second leg as well. overall I'd say that probably dt played better the key moments but nevertheless a pretty much neck to neck fight with both teams in full force that should prove for a fact that the overall balance was indeed about realistically right. ok, I go update and post everything now as usual so stay tuned, ggs and very well played both, intense.

ok, everything done now just waiting for the YouTube videos to complete. great games, statistically for other than the first game they were not as close as the in-game reflected but nevertheless a titanic battle. as for the results following tto exit from the championship dispute now with this result ofp drops as well mathematically from the battle for the champion as now the most they could achieve would be four points in the second leg and seven in total. none of that is enough for a first place or forcing a super final so it appears like their ceiling in this edition is gonna be around the fourth place they achieved in the first leg which coincides by the way with the last place of the original Сборная России at a major tournament here before apparently their previous leader, ixsy, withdrew from these tournaments so nevertheless a strong showing and a more than respectful position. now as usual for this night comments, in the first map someone requested and later complained about a game pasue. I checked the game in-game when prompted and I even reviewed the entire match in full now to be sure and I did not observe any significant incident that would have deserved a match break so consequently it was not conceded. the in-game feeling to me due the timing and the context was that the game break was being called for tactical reasons, it was later said that it was due ping at two rounds from one specific player, whatever the case is, I repeat, I checked and followed the game and I don't recall the exact ping number at the time but it didn't look like it and at the review it doesn't seem to have occurred anything extraordinary outside of the normal variance at a game as to justify breaking the game. in that regard as can be seen if on a team game we are gonna be breaking the game every time some client ping, has a few spikes, red bars or anything, well, in such case every tto game would take hours to complete and this is a clear example of among other things why the timeout isn't there. it doesn't work like that, it can not even really verified in a meaningful way (i.e. not saying it was the case here but were you lagging or were you making you lag? who knows, it can not be told) and the reality is that the vast majority of those 'mouse' timeouts and similar even at top level are clearly simply tactical so the game here is only orderly broken when it's clearly justified due a major verified issue (i.e. someone drops, the game is unplayable and similar major incidents) and not because someone lags or other minor issues. other than that once again remind everyone that they need to have all the maps that are gonna played before the start of the match and that people can not routinely wait to get dropped from the server to then install them. in regard also remind people that the maps on the links in this site are distributed in zip form and therefore require to extract the pk3 inside them into your actual running baseq3 folder and not in another one to be available in these events. ok and I think that's all for now while we await for dt-tto tomorrow 20:30 so have fun and see you tomorrow, ggs.

breaking as expected from a fight between a tittle contender, dt, and the fifth place, tto, dt cleared the night with a triple 10:6 win without much problem. that being said, given all the circumstances and the people that showed I'd say that tto still beat expectations, at least mines, and although keeping the fight competitive was simply unrealistic they managed at least to keep it fun and going so big shout out to them. as usual once the more than exciting off-the-record game ends I'll update and post everything and then I'll come back with some more results and comments. ggs and well played both.

as usual I don't see how your guys are gonna be coming back from holidays in September just to go back on holidays again in October/November?! not to mention that who really goes on holidays in these dates? honest question, I personally don't know anybody so I highly doubt that figure to be very high (of course not saying to be zero, someone will to rotate labor force, but it's obvious it's not gonna be the majority). with that I'm not saying that perhaps one or two of your guys might be out these weeks for some reason but I'm quite confident your entire team wasn't coming back from holidays in September to now just barely one month later going out on holidays again. either way, I'm just saying, look it's not worth the drama so if you just want to schedule your drama show against ass for the last date of the second leg again I think that given the circumstances (i.e. scores/results, calendar, the advanced fights etc) it can probably done, no problem. I'm just telling you that for other edition under normal circumstances you pull something off like this and you are probably gonna need to find other people or you're out. in this specific case we have ilm-tto next week and then the final showdown among the top three, ass-dt, ilm-ass, dt-ilm so probably something can be done the next week.

anyway, everything done already with this night games. finally although it doesn't count and it was clearly played in a more casual/relaxed manner but tto even managed to take the off-the-record game. in that regard comment since there seemed to be some confusion that although in the event of a 3:0 win there's no need to play the fourth map, if the circumstances allow for it (i.e. there's enough time, the spirits are high etc) it can be played anyway off-the-record in some shape or form. in fact, I'd say that's even intended to be played for fun and fairness even if I repeat it won't count and it won't hurt the tournament record in any way. ok, so with this result tto finally finish now mathematically alone in fifth place and will probably have little at play in their final showdown against ilm. probably the most notable would be to see if they can finally win a map since after their initial draw against ofp they have counted all their fights as 3:0 loses. unfortunately for them, the team level is just currently way too high and while they peaked at the beginning the rest of the teams were just warming up but in any case I'd like to put some respect on these guys and remind everyone around that to finish a tournament in fifth place not only you have to sign up in the first place if not that you need to be consistent and complete/honor it in full which is a lot more than many other people/teams around have done. people should definitively not forget that and have a lot more respect toward the lesser places, at the end of the day, this can only be played like this thanks to everyone who joins and everyone helps make the tournament bigger and more exciting, not the other way around. things wouldn't be the same without them and that's something that people should not forget.

Just to clarify, but in the first paragraph you are speaking about next week, but I hear kf say they don't have 4+ players then. So does it need to be played now next week (which seems not possible for them) or after the 6th of October?

I was waiting until to tomorrow to update that to give everyone time to schedule and to finish the ongoing games but if you want a update about that already I think that I can probably post it now. ok, so as update to that this is what I have noted so far for the ongoing schedules:
  • Week 3
    • ASS Clan VS Double Trouble: out of the blue dt just showed up yesterday in forum to claim that their team goes almost in full on holidays in the middle of the tournament just after precisely coming back back from holidays around a month ago and when it's pretty much cold and raining in the north hemisphere and the real holiday season hasn't started yet in the south hemisphere. to be clear here, this amounts as effectively withdrawing and tempering with the competition which is not allowed and it will be not tolerated and I'm pretty sure a lot of other people here that was waiting for this moment as well feel very disrespected and disappointed by this. that being said, given the circumstances (i.e. stage, results, calendar etc) it's probably not worth the drama and something can probably be arranged therefore this fight get delayed and parked with the next suggested schedule the Sunday 8 of November of 2026 20:00 CET (UTC+01) and instead ilm-ass will be played in its place.
    • ILM Clan VS Team One: waiting for input from both as to schedule this next week. since the other fight of the week was withdraw and since the ilm-ass fight has been advanced in its place it will be good to schedule this soon as to focus on that. in light of that, the new suggested schedule is Wednesday 28 of October of 2026 20:30 CET (UTC+01) let me know then if that works for you along this week or if not what else as to schedule that.
ok so to be clear the new updated incoming fights to schedule within these days (i.e. when possible since we're at Wednesday etc) is as follows:
  • Week 3
    • ILM Clan VS Team One (Wednesday 28 of October of 2026 20:30 CET [UTC+01])
  • Week 4
    • ILM Clan VS ASS Clan (Sunday 1 of November of 2026 20:00 CET [UTC+01])
then the next week, which is what I was talking about, this will follow as to close the league:
  • Week 3
    • ASS Clan VS Double Trouble (Sunday 8 of November of 2026 20:00 CET [UTC+01])
  • Week 5
    • Double Trouble VS ILM Clan (Friday 6 of November of 2026 20:30 CET [UTC+01])
I think that should be a realistic calendar and on the upside since there was a couple of advanced fights we could even finish one week earlier than initially scheduled. the alternative to that would be to disqualify dt right on the spot due effectively withdrawing in the middle of the tournament which would be a realistic possibility as I'm saying but given the circumstances I think there's probably no need to rush for that yet. that being said, if by the next week they are still on holidays and are unable to agree on anything then sure such disqualification would be made effective. ok, I updated everything now so check it out and let me know if you have further questions or anything.

@lith look dude once again, it's made pretty clear in the tournament guidelines that you don't have to cancel anything or do anything, all you have to do is to not sign up in the first place if you know that you're not gonna be available for the duration of the tournament or you're simply unsure about it as it can not be otherwise. as I'm telling you nothing else beyond common sense and basic normal constructive/civic behavior. people need to understand that when they sing up for a tournament they commit to participate and make themselves available for the duration of the tournament and failing to do so, or in your own words willing choosing do to something else instead, amount effectively as breaking such commitment that you freely made and therefore imply disqualification as it can not be otherwise. honestly, if you have so many problems with the tournament just go away as I'm telling you and stop wasting my time having to explain you over and over again the same obvious stuff that doesn't even need to be explained because I'm not gonna keep doing it.

Nobody can be sure about anything because the tournament is TWO MONTHS long, if everyone who signed up wouldn't sign up because they were not sure. Then you would have no sign ups, I dont understand what happened in your life to make you so entitled and believe you can talk to people like you do 😂😂😂

I'd rather say what's wrong with you to be so unsure about your life that you don't even know what's going to be about it in the spawn of just a couple of months to be unable to commit to anything. I believe that's something you should probably ask and seriously consider yourself, honestly, that's the best you can do? that's rather your specific issue than anything else. just as I remarked with tto and a lot of other people, thankfully the vast majority of the people around here, like your teammates for example, do honor their commitments as it can not be otherwise and such issues are really only reduced to a small limited group of always the same people but either way, I repeat, ok, don't sign up, no problem at all. I'm totally fine with that, I really meant it.

As i said before, I will not be signing up again, no worries about that. And the only reason you are certain about your availability is because you have nothing happening in your life. You just spent half a year or more away from the forum and your emails, could you have prepared yourself for that? 😘

I'm glad that you brought that here as that's a very good example of how to proceed. of course I totally remember that and I remember exactly what I did when that happened. I precisely stuck to my own guidelines and once proven that due exceptional unforeseeable circumstances it was not going to be possible for me to really commit to the tournament rather than bullshitting people and wasting everyone's time I simply took my own word and withdraw and cancelled the whole thing as it could not have been otherwise. ok, I'm glad to hear that now I hope that you stand by your own word because as I'm telling you, I'm not here to waste my time with bullshit.
