yes, agree, just as I wrote it's not closed yet so it will depend in the rest of the showing. if parangon gets, let's say ixsy/roxor or somebody else of the likes as eight player then sure there's definitively a case for olc in your team, no problem. otherwise miro, olc, liha, kf, shantu is clear they have no match for the rest of the showing so far. sure parangon could arguably be the best squad but hey you aren't taking just another player from their team you'll be taking their most decisive player in the last tournament that was fairly balanced overall. sure they can be very active but not here, none of those guys (except for olc) has ever really played here beside just a short tournament and that clearly showed in the second leg for example so things aren't as straight up. as said, by now I'll note miro, liha, kf, shantu, tuby, edversion, masin and then we can wait to arrange the eight player though in my opinion rather than having olc/roxor or someone of the likes join your teams I think it would be a lot more interesting if they (ex. olc and roxor or somebody else for that matter, I'm just naming those as those are the first that came to my mind, it's nothing personal) would instead form another top competitive team but as usual that's not up to me to decide so we'll see.

sounds good, I just received your line up earlier on mail as the forum was flooded with apparently over 100k aggressive ai bots. as I wrote on the mail, it looks pretty overpowering (lithz, ricky, heero, infinity, rico, walnut/st.g3rmain, denzoa, ares) but I assume that then now that should clearly call for olc in dt for a almost once in a generation kind of encounter so fair enough I guess and I'll note you both in full. great news then it seems that still at the wait of some potential changes/adjustments in the meantime we finally have at least three solid top tier teams assembled to participate on this. in such case I hope that tomorrow I'll write the usual tournament draft to get started and let's hope a few more teams show up as well to complete the competition.

unless you hurry up I think you might run out of mvps at this pace (as said maybe try to get roxor or nastia, that's pretty much all that is left to pick up by now). for the rest let's see then if at least we can complete the tournament along these weeks and hopefully start by early September rather than late September if everybody is available.

ok, finally I just made the new tournament summary there here as usual, then please those involved go check that out and let me know if you have any questions or anything. as can be seen that's pretty much the same as it was in the last Christmas edition merely with a few extra paragraphs clearing up some topics and a few small changes. for the changes, first as commented q3shw14 was added to the map pool per request of ofp. probably the best idea would have been to replace poq3dm5 with it but since poq3dm5 had just been added and since at the end of the day I repeat like for the hundred time that regardless of what's posted only that the teams pick is ultimately played and there's no even tie-breakers I think that it was probably better to still give it a chance and if in one or two more editions poq3dm5 does not get played, or it plays poorly, then to remove it. the rest of the map suggestions were discarded as not meeting the minimum quality/popularity required to be added as explained (i.e. ca maps, quakelive maps etc). other than that the only change of significance is that now that it seems like this can finally turn into a fully fledged league with more than just the bare minimum three teams I added the league point scoring system to track the results. as noted there wins will give two points and ties one and additionally to make it more exciting and competitive the first place will need at least a two, or more, points advantage over the second to claim title otherwise a super best of five final will be triggered among the five most played maps in the tournament to decide the champion. and I think that's all by now, as said, although still waiting for some potential changes or additions there's already three top teams signed up so just waiting for a couple or more teams to complete this and hopefully start in a few weeks rather than in a few months if everyone is ok with that. as said, from what I saw people has already started preparing for this and for the most part it seems to start to get going so probably having to wait now over a month would come across as a turn off to me therefore in light of that I believe one or two more weeks to sign up to then start playing in early September is a much more realistic and reasonable timeline.

well if some teams need a bit more of time to get started I think that's ok and we can probably still wait until mid-september to start playing instead. that being said I believe that by now the tournament participants should at least be known in full within this August 2026 month the latest to then start scheduling the games during early September to avoid issues as usual then those interested do not forget to sign up on time here or reach me out about it.
