Hello,
dunno if this is the right place to ask for this, but from time to time there is some random players or dedicated trolls who join and then choose a name with, in my cas, the OfC tag.
It can be fun, it can be "who cares", it can be a lot of thing, it's just that sometimes, when its a patent cheater or troll, it feels not right.
I do know this is quite regular and perfectly allowed in general pub servers but in this cas, where some clans have been "officially" been set, would it be feasible/desired to kind of lock the tag and not allow a general use?
Just a question, i'm open to discuss the point.
sort of "no tag" allowed?

Re: sort of "no tag" allowed?
if you want the tag can be registered just like any other nick so only the people with the password will be able to use it. the downside is that then it would require all of your team members to use such password in order to be able to name themselves as such beside the fact that people could always just "squat" it anyways (ex. *OfC*, -0fC- etc) so think about it if you're interested.

Re: sort of "no tag" allowed?
I think using a team's tag to give a nod to a player or the team can be temporarily accepted.
But when it comes to a player who isn't a friend of a player using that tag and who has nothing to do with the team that uses that tag, then in this case, after explicitly explaining to him that he isn't allowed to use that tag, if he refuses to rename himself without it, I think a ban of a few days would be a good way to make him understand that he must respect team tags.
This is currently the case with the player "KAKAHA" who uses the -OfC- tag. I've asked him several times to please rename himself, clarifying that he isn't allowed to use that tag, but he's ignored me. Since he doesn't seem to want to obey the rule, I'm requesting a ban of a few days to make him understand.
Today, another player renamed himself -OfC-hell.
If there were a penalty, this wouldn't happen repeatedly...

Isn't the idea of doing that in game just to taunt the clan? As long it's not derogatory, what's issue?

@Pacman
I'm no longer on the clan list to leave space open for those who want to participate in competitions and events. The number of players registered for competitions and events is limited to eight participants. But I am definitely part of the clan -OfC-

We can also take it as a compliment – it seems that everyone would like to be in our club (although I don't know who would voluntarily want to be in a club of almost-retirees)
Personally, I don't really care, we know who belongs to us and who doesn't, the only problem would be if a similarly tagged nobody caused problems in the game and disgraced our name.
@Pac - Impre is ours and we won't give him to anyone! There's a limit of only 8 clan members that can be displayed on the forum, but soon there will be so many of us that we'll be able to start our own country!

Re: sort of "no tag" allowed?
Hey all, no big issues for sure, as mentioned by @imprecise and @...jutuli..., it's just sometimes annoying, especially when a player do wrong stuff during a game and wear a tag, some people may then associate this tag with bad behaviour.
Anyway thx @adminless for the input.
And yay, take care all of you youngsters, the elder ones shall rise! :>
