btw. How is it possible that bots add themselves to the server without the admin's permission? Who does this anyway? And why do these bots have ping? I don't know anything about running servers, so I'm asking out of curiosity.

those are not server (side) bots, those are client (side) bots so that's just a automated (I guess) bot connecting itself to the server just like any other "normal" client.
