By looking at all those maps on that website I have a feeling like we're missing a lot, but it could be deceiving, perhaps the maps we're playing are better in terms of UnFreeze mod, perhaps if veteran players would want to comment on them.

wtf dude what's wrong with you you never seem to get anything here. this is not about adding any random map in existence that comes out (that's bullshit) but the good stuff beside some of those you're listing there are even already included in the packages let alone "recent" as you claim them to be to begin with so when I told you about requesting some maps I was talking about some quality maps you already knew and have played over the years and felt they could be missing not about randomly start listing a website map list out of the blue. I'm not here to waste my time reviewing dozens of maps just for the shake of it so stop with that. you're not really helping if not the contrary.

I understand. If you take a look at them again, the review portion of each map's page, you will see the rating provided by people who played them. I obviously, since I'm new, haven't played any of them, ever before, regardless of how old those maps are. To tell you the truth, which you probably already know, I never played any of the maps on your servers before. Those are facts. That's why we need veterans who played this game before to comment. I assume Shantu is one of the veterans, but he's not commenting, it's just the two of us, for now.

EDIT: the game I played before was called Quake Live, while it was free to play, and I haven't played it much and one of the maps we play on your server does resemble to one of the maps we played back then, but it was years ago, so I might be mistaken.

Adminless, last Sunday and yesterday there were just few of us and we had to switch to main server, players are ignoring Glacius after complaining last time it was full. Maps that are not interesting are appearing 2 times in rotation and we're missing fun maps, we can't remember last time we played those. And the new map, which is great, appeared only twice since you introduced it. The map is great, but it's very rare. Can you like remove all the maps and just leave new map and japandm for a while, like a special event that will last few weeks or something like that?

I don't think so. the maps you're referring to I assume are the "big"/"top" maps that obviously are not gonna show up if there's just a "handful" (i.e. 4-6 players) of you as it can't be otherwise (i.e. those maps do not work, meaning would play even worse, unless you have a significant amount of competitive players connected). as written before, that's probably about the best glacius can reasonably/realistically do and start changing things just like that pretty much at "random" is not gonna make it any better if not the opposite.

I was talking about the time when glacius was full, 11vs11, we had no japandm, nor new map in the rotation, the maps were boring and everyone was complaining and now there are no players on glacius during time of events, ask them if you do not believe me. Ask Lisa what happened yesterday and what happened last Sunday, no players since everyone was complaining when it was full.

EDIT: just to add that some players join just to see which map is on and if they do not like the map they complain about it and leave. There are maps players do not like to play at all. I'm a gamer, I think you should benefit from the poll, maybe ask players what maps they want, the voting system they have on other forums, I'm sure something like that can happen on your forum as well.

If you take a deeper peek into glacius the logs, you will see that nowadays people leave in droves when certain maps come up. I don't even remember the names. Not all big maps, nobody leaves for ospdm1 for example. Don't believe us, just look at data. I can see it when I'm on server.
Big maps are more peculiar because not only some people dislike certain maps, but also they take much longer to complete. So if I see a map I really don't like and realize it will take 40 minutes to finish, this makes me want to leav.

Something similar happens on public sometimes actually, large groups of players switching to other server when boring map comes up. But on public there are 2 servers to switch between. Sometimes unfreeze 1 is half-populated when freefun is full because of it.
How about vote nextmap on glacius?
