Here is an idea after watching last two matches: how about abba or baba map order, where a is the stronger team? I think this way we would get more 3:1 and 3:2 matches instead of 3:0 and 3:1

abba or even baabba is the format I use on the masters thing because there upsets are very very rare then at least give a chance to the lesser player to enjoy his maps (i.e. no excuses) beside the format there is win or go home (knockout stage), there's no second chances. here things are a lot more disputed (this q3dm7 was pretty much a tie, somebody had to take it) and it's a regular season so there's rotation, every team will play three matches as "a" team and three matches as "b" team regardless of the ranking/rating. all of ilm, pride and oko will play the next round as "b" teams despite being the highest ranked teams so at the end of the season everyone should have played the same.

I see, makes sense. I think confusion came from first point in rules then: "best of five 5vs5 fights without off-the-record playing played on a-b-a-b-c order where a is the (perceived/determined) stronger team.".

I know but just from the point above that one "the commission (i.e. me) determines the initial [i.e. the opening round, this one] team status (i.e. a/b) typically based on ranking, the rest are given through the charts outcomes (i.e. the calendar itself and how you advance to the final phase, otherwise it would be better advance as second for example)." yes, probably is not very good worded there but I guess that it should be more clear on the calendar itself. simply put the a team is the one that appears first on the match up.

over confirmed now the Thursday 10 20:00 CET (UTC+01) date against pride then all that is left about it is now to finally set the maps in the next coming days (i.e. no later than Monday/Tuesday). other than that waiting for agreement/communication from ass-ilm within this weekend to set that fight for the next week as well.

as a little update so far about the ASS-ILM fight apparently they say now that the could probably only match up the next Sunday 13 so I guess that by now I'll note that on the calendar at the wait of confirmation.

great news thank you about that. I hadn't heard time from them but I assume 21:15 CET (UTC+01) should be fine, they also said they should provide maps soon so when I know I'll let you know and thus we should be finally set for this.

ass got back now with picks for ilm, pro-q3dm6, reqdm5, bal3dm3 and said it's fine with 21:15 CET for next Sunday. just waiting now for ilm choices and blacklist to leave that set.

no it's not, the moment they chose pro-q3dm6 both 6++ and bloodcovenant go out of the rest of the choices (both yours as well as the tie-breakers) regardless of any blacklist or anything. that comes later, the choices come first and they must all be different (considering remixes/remakes).

PM for that sent now to both of you (cthulhu and fau) so as usual review it and unless you spot some mistake or something then that should be it now. catch you in-game the next week, have fun and good luck to both of you.
Btw, it seems that charon3dm9 is not in the list of maps that can be downloaded from this site (I can't find it in the files).

on the pubs (glacius) it runs as ospdm9 instead that's why it's not there. you have it directly linked on the tournament pool posted on the first page of this as well on the tournament scoreboard/calendar. anyways you can download it here.

over finally got back with their picks, bal3dm3, storm3tourney1, pro-nodm9 which hopefully didn't coincide with the pride (pre)announced ones. then that means that the currents choices for this great battle the next Thursday stand as follow:
  • over: bal3dm3, storm3tourney1, pro-nodm9
  • pride: 6++, 7++, overkill
  • tie-breakers: hub3tourney1, pro-q3tourney2, q3dm14
then please pride get back to me within the next 24 hours with what maps from that (one from over and one from the tie-breakers) you wanna skip to let over know about it and finally leave this all set for the Thursday night. other than that still waiting to hear from ilm choices against ass for the Sunday night (there's still time though, just saying/reminding).

good evening,

we choose q3dm7, hub3tourney1, and pro-q3tourney2 and we skip bal3dm3 from ASS's maps.
